About Pratham
Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide preschool education to children in Mumbai slums. Over the last 25 years, Pratham has grown to be India’s largest NGO working to provide quality education to underprivileged youth and children in over 21 states and union territories across the country, with various interventions.
Pratham is a widely recognized organization, having received notable awards such as the Lui Che Woo Prize, the WISE Prize for Innovation, the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the Henry R Kravis Prize in Leadership, and the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for Public Service. About Pratham’s Digital Initiative
Pratham-Shah PraDigi Innovation Center has produced over 10000+ videos, 500+ learning games and other resources in the last few years. The resources can be viewed at www.prathamopenschool.org. These resources have been deployed and monitored in many rural and urban communities. With each passing year, this repository of content – videos, games, and applications has grown to cater to the interests and engagement of children.
Translating videos into 14 regional languages and English helped us become relevant and accessible to learners in all states.
PraDigi has its own Graphics and Animation Team. This team fulfills digital resource production needs for PraDigi as well as requests from Pratham’s other programs.
Position Summary
The Animator position in the PraDigi-Graphics and Animation Team offers young, interested, and energetic people a unique opportunity to be an integral part of Pratham’s digital work across the country.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality video resources for different teams based on emerging requirements and strategies keeping in mind the context and content.
- Edit animations and finalize animations based on rough drafts.
- Work in collaboration with other members, both within the team as well as in other teams.
- Accept and work with feedback to create on-brand deliverables at every stage of work.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 years prior work experience in a similar role in private sector firms, NGOs, or foundations.
- Strong visualization and design sense.
- Knowledge of color, layouts, animation fundamentals, special effects, and typography.
- Proficiency in relevant video creation and animation software ( PowerPoint, Aftereffects, Premiere, Photoshop, Canva, etc.) and willingness to learn new software.
- Ability to communicate in English and Hindi or at least 1 other regional language.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work within timelines and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Exposure to the non-profit sector through previous experience (including internships) or otherwise.
Working Location: Pune or Mumbai

The final offer will be shared after the compensation discussion. The person will be reporting to the Lead for Graphics and Animation.
